Mathematics can be defined as the study of relationships and the science of patterns. Mathematics as a way of thinking is supported by encouraging children to explore, conjecture, hypothesize, discover, invent, prove, apply, and generalize.

Bank Street seeks to educate and support teachers of mathematics with updated techniques and by helping teachers build a deeper understanding of math concepts. Our strategies and resources are consistent with the NCTM Principles and Standards 2000 and are aimed at providing graduate students and teachers in the field with the skills, knowledge, and beliefs necessary to support their work in inclusive classrooms.
